About OSOT

The Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT) is the provincial professional association of occupational therapists, student occupational therapists and occupational therapist assistants. With focus in the areas of Member Services, Government Relations, Professional Promotion, Professional Development and Practice Support, the Society serves and represents the interests of members in Ontario.

OSOT currently has more than 4,600 members and we anticipate growth as we begin to welcome occupational therapist assistants to our membership in 2024. From its early roots in 1921, as the first occupational therapy organization in Canada, OSOT has provided leadership to the growing profession throughout its history.

The Society is committed to operating with an inclusive lens and to continuing to learn how to better meet the diverse needs of our membership. The strategic plans, goals and objectives are directed to ensure advocacy and representation effectively position the profession of occupational therapy in Ontario's evolving health system, ensuring that OSOT is providing voice, visibility and leadership for Ontario occupational therapists and occupational therapist assistants!
