Practical Application of the INESSS-ONF TBI Rehab Guidelines

Join our presenters on June 8, 2017 as they engage participants in:

  • Introducing and provding an overview of the new guidelines for TBI.
  • Identifying key implications for occupational therapy practice within the community and hospital environments.
  • Exploring strategies for implementing guidelines into clinical practice, including identification of potential barriers and challenges.

It is increasingly important to provide a well reasoned, accountable, and evidence-based approach to justify funding for your intervention. Having a clear understanding of the value of the OT in community rehabilitation and being able to communicate this need effectively is critical.

This session will outline for clinical professionals how the INESSS-ONF Clinical Practice Guideline for the Rehabilitation of Adults with Moderate to Severe TBI can be of use.  Examples of implementation of unique recommendations will be highlighted by practicing occupational therapists.  The webinar will include discussion of implications for clinical practice, potential barriers and practical implementation of specific recommendations. ??
