Part-time position at the Veterans Affairs Canada, Pembroke District Office.
Position start date: As soon as possible
Period: 3-year contract

Main Duties and work requirements / Scope of Work:

Provide professional OT consultation services and advice to the staff of the District Office on a wide variety of OT issues relate to the care of adult and older adult clients. This includes, but is not limited to, the provision of professional advice and recommendations on client cases presented at Interdisciplinary Team meetings and cases conferences.

  • Assess patients' emotional and physical capabilities;
  • Consult with physicians to confirm assessment;
  • Develop and implement treatment programs;
  • Evaluate treatment progress;
  • Maintain clinical and progress reports;
  • Use a VAC computer and software for client documentation;

Necessary requirements:

  • Registered with the College of OT in the province of Ontario
  • Completion of university in Occupational Therapist
  • Current and valid Association of Occupational Therapists in Ontario
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as an Occupational Therapists
  • Must Speak, Read, Write English
  • Valid driver's license
