Finding an Occupational Therapist

Individuals seeking access to occupational therapy services are advised to consider the following.

• Contact local hospitals or Community Care Access Centres for access to out patient or community based services covered under the provincial health insurance plan
  
  
• Consult family physicians or other health care professionals for referral information to occupational therapists in the community
  
  
• Consult the Yellow Pages for listing of private OT services in the community
  
  
• Request occupational therapy services from your insurance company if you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident or have extended health coverage

• Consumers who wish to confirm that a health professional is a registered occupational therapist may contact the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario to ensure that the therapist is included in the public register.
