  New Rules of Civil Procedure

With the arrival of 2010, the new Rules of Civil Procedure came into effect in Ontario, as announced on the website of the Ministry of the Attorney General.  The rules were significantly reformed in an effort to achieve Honourable Coulter Osborne’s goal to make the civil justice system more accessible and affordable for Ontarians.  The reforms include changes to Discovery, Third Party Claims, Pre-Trials, Experts and many others.  Of particular interest to the OSOT members, are the changes to expert evidence rules that relate to the content of expert reports and the timelines of report submissions.  For more information see the Ministry of the Attorney General’s website.

Register to attend OSOT’s April 16th  Auto Insurance Sector workshop, New Directions in the Changing World of Auto Insurance, and hear Rodney Dale of Lerners LLP, share how these new rules will impact the practice of occupational therapy.
