Long-Term Care Inspectors Now Include Occupational Therapists

The Ministry of Long-Term Care have implement inspectors for long-term care homes, however, have historically only listed nurses, physiotherapists, and dieticians as eligible professions. OSOT has expressed our concern with the exclusion of occupational therapists from the eligible professions. Mike Moodie, Director, Long-Term Care Inspections Branch notified us that occupational therapists has been added to the job specifications as meeting the professional requirements for inspector.
