Key Responsibilities
Provide assessment, treatment and consultation for primarily pediatric populations with a focus on:
- Handwriting Supports (e.g. Handwriting without tears)
- Low muscle tone
- Coordination and strength exercises
- Sensory Processing and Self-Regulation Challenges
- Home safety and accessibility
- Activities of Daily Living
- Prescription of assistive equipment
Strong interest in working with First Nations children
Ability to work with clients living in remote areas using telepractice technology
Available for possible onsite visits to First Nations Communities.

Qualifications/ Skills
- Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Member of Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, with liability insurance
- Skilled in completing formal and informal assessments, and then identifying client-centered treatment goals
- Skilled in providing individual and group therapy sessions
- Able to adapt assessment and treatment approach to the needs of clients, including clients of different cultural backgrounds
- Able to work well as part of an interdisciplinary team including Speech-Language Pathologists, Communicative Disorders Assistants, Psychologists, Art Therapists, Rehabilitation Therapy Assistants.
- Possess the flexibility and strong time-management skills necessary to manage an ever-changing caseload
- Able to creatively problem-solve to provide assessment and treatment programs catered to individual clients and settings (e.g. online)
- Comfortable with technology, including telepractice/video conferencing technology
- Strong computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Able to travel to Northern First Nations Communities, if needed
- Successful Criminal Record Check
- Fluency in French preferred, not required

- Master's or equivalent experience
