Addictions 101

This webinar will introduce addictions and provide an overview of substance use disorders and the associated stigma. We will discuss the current opioid crisis, as well as explore how Occupational Therapists can prepare themselves to effectively work with clients with substance use disorders to improve health outcomes and reach personal goals.

About Our Presenters:

Tammy has been a nurse clinician in the addictions medicine services program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre in Toronto for the past three years. She has a bachelor in nursing and is currently pursuing her Masters in Nursing with a leadership focus.

Elle is in her second and final year of the accelerated BSN program at the University of Toronto. Prior to returning to school in 2018, Elle worked for three years in mental health and addictions in Downtown Eastside, Vancouver, BC.
