Introducing PoNS Treatment and how Translingual Neurostimulation can be used in the treatment of balance and gait deficits in mmTBI and Multiple Sclerosis.

  • How PoNS Treatment may benefit clients in an Occupational therapy practice.
  • Real-world perspective from a PoNS-trained OT.


About our Presenters:

Sylvia Haycock
has over 15 years of clinical experience providing NeuroRehab Occupational Therapy services for complex clinical presentations including TBI, SCI, and MS. Her practice experience spans acute care, inpatient and outpatient neurorehab, and clinic and community-based care. She is passionate about creatively using innovation and technology to help improve the quality of life of her clients.

Dr. Kim Skinner has over 15 years of clinical research experience in physical therapy using neuromodulation. She led the development of PoNS Treatment™ training first as Director of Physical Therapy at the Tactile Communication and Rehabilitation Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, then at Helius Medical, Inc.

Nicole Strachan has a keen eye for systems improvement within a clinic environment and optimizing key performance and outcome measures with the assistance of medical device technology. She is also a practicing Kinesiologist with a focus in brain injury and neurological rehabilitation with experience in a clinic and clinical trial settings.
