Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) Death Review Committee Call for Members | Deadline to Apply is April 30
The Office of the Chief Coroner (OCC) is seeking expressions of interest for membership on the Medical Assistance in Dying Death Review Committee (MDRC). Established in January 2024, the MDRC provides expert review of MAiD deaths to assist in evaluating potential public safety concerns and identify opportunities for continued broad system improvements.
The OCC expects to have 6-8 members join the committee for up to a two-year-term. In addition, the OCC will require the expertise of various specialty practitioners for some case reviews and will be seeking members interested in an ad hoc engagement.
