OSOT Met with the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security (MCURES)

Last week, OSOT met with Minister Nolan Quinn and Riley Langford, Policy & Appointments Advisor/MPP Liaison, from the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security (MCURES) to discuss priority advocacy areas for the occupational therapy profession.

Our discussion focused on strengthening Ontario’s health system by:

✅ Expanding OT and OTA programs

✅ Securing incentives for preceptors

✅ Supporting future professionals in high demand areas

This work aligns with OSOT’s 2023–2027 Strategic Plan, which prioritizes increasing the number of OTs per capita. We look forward to ongoing collaboration with the ministry to advance these goals and represent our members.
