THEME: BREAKING BARRIERS
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary’ s definition of a Barrier (bar·ri·er/ˈberēər; noun) is: something that prevents or blocks movement from one place to another; a law, rule, problem, etc., that makes something difficult or impossible; something that makes it difficult for people to understand each other...
We think this year’s conference theme of Breaking Barriers - will resonate with our OTs and with you as exhibitors & sponsors as well! It’s meant to lend direction to programming and to underline the purpose of conference – to gather OTs and their exhibiting counterparts, from across the province to LEARN, SHARE, become INSPIRED & ENERGIZED, to PROBLEM SOLVE and of course have FUN! We hope to encourage exploration of how OTs are breaking barriers in one form or another each & every day. Whether it’s - creating advances in technology to problem solve client needs, reaching a compromise in goal setting as a result of differing views, or making decisions based on fiscal restraints. In our profession - we may experience barriers at any point - from the ministry, system & policy level to at a team, individual client, or on a personal values level; and we know what an integral part you as exhibitors can play when it comes to breaking through some of these barriers!
We invite you to join us at OSOT Conference 2016! Where together we can engage in those discussions about how to best work together to break through barriers, feel fulfilled in our roles while doing so and meet the needs of the clients we aim to serve!
