Qualifications:

  • Registration (member in good standing) with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • New licensed graduates are welcome to apply
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical and mental health
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long terms disability and WSIB referrals is a strong asset
  • Post-graduate training in concussion and/or cognitive rehabilitation is a strong asset
  • A valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle 

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
  • Educating clients on topics such as pacing, pain, cognitive behavioral strategies and task modification strategies to help improve function
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of professionals including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, and acupuncturists 
  • Participating in case conferences and case management 
  • Utilizing e-charting software to document treatment sessions; submitting reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Managing caseload in a fast paced environment
