The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) provides funding support to eligible individuals who have long-term physical disabilities, to obtain personalized assistive devices appropriate for their basic needs. Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive functional assessment by an ADP registered authorizer. Occupational therapists represent a large cohort of ADP Authorizers for Seating and Mobility Devices. Both the ADP and occupational therapists wish to see that eligible clients access the right assistive devices - how can we best ensure this happens?
Join Ian Lowe and Joan Stevens on April 25, 2018 in an interactive session that will:
- Provide a review of the program mandate and key policies directing access to funding.
- Review 10 things you need to know about working with ADP as an authorizer.
- Provide opportunity for participants to ask questions, you'll be invited to submit questions in the webinar discussion forum to be addressed by the speakers.
Target Audience:
- Occupational therapists who are ADP Authorizers for mobility devices
- OTs and Student OTs interested in learning more about the Assistive Devices Program and being an ADP Authorizer
