Within the changing landscape of health care in Ontario, this is an exciting time to consider how we, as health care providers, maximize our practice to provide the best client care possible. Respecting the roles of our colleagues and care partners helps to build strong teams, which calls for true collaboration with occupational therapist assistants (OTAs). In order to enhance this collaboration, and in response to the 'call to action' stated in Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Canada, released in 2021, a task force was formed. In February 2024, Competencies for Occupational Therapist Assistants was released. These competencies are closely aligned with those of their occupational therapist partners, ensuring that we are working together to help clients achieve their goals.
By the end of this webinar you will be able to: Understand the Competencies for Occupational Therapist Assistants, released February 2024, and understand how these competencies align with occupational therapist competencies. Embrace the occupational therapist assistant role as a strong partner in client care and also a strong advocate for the role of occupational therapy.
Complimentary for OSOT members. $25 + HST for non-members.
