Webinar Description:

In the changing landscape of healthcare in Ontario, this is an exciting time to consider how we, as health care providers, maximize our practice to provide the best client care possible. Respecting the roles of our colleagues and care partners helps to build strong teams, which calls for true collaboration between OTs and OTAs. In order to enhance this collaboration, and in response to the 'call to action' stated in the Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Canada, released in 2021, a task force was formed. In February 2024, Competencies for Occupational Therapist Assistants was released. These competencies are closely aligned with those of their occupational therapist partners, ensuring that we are working together to help clients achieve their goals.

Join your OT and OTA colleagues and by the end of this webinar, you will:

Presenter:

Sylvia Davidson (she/her), OT Reg. (Ont.)
is a recently retired occupational therapist who worked with older adults for most of her clinical career. She has practiced in acute care, rehabilitation, long term care and the community. She continues teaching and her work has focused on a wide range of topics that are relevant for older adults. Sylvia has never stopped learning from her patients and their families, and she believes strongly in the benefit of sharing our stories, listening to and learning from each other.
