Description of Opportunity

Join a thriving pediatric Occupational Therapy practice in the Waterloo Region supporting children and teens with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences. This full-time salaried position ($90,000–$110,000 annually) offers flexible scheduling, meaningful work, and a full caseload ready for immediate start.

About the Role

We are a pediatric Occupational Therapy practice in the Waterloo Region, dedicated to helping children and teens—particularly those on the autism spectrum and with other neurodevelopmental differences—reach their full potential.

Our approach focuses on supporting each child’s neurological development through evidence-informed, relationship-based, and neurodiversity-centered care. Therapy takes place where children live and grow — in their home and community environments.

We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist who is compassionate, creative, and passionate about helping children build confidence, regulation, and independence.

This is an established practice with a full caseload ready for the ideal candidate to begin as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized assessment and therapy for children and youth
  • Develop and implement treatment plans focused on sensory processing, regulation, and motor development
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and community partners
  • Deliver therapy in home and community settings across the Waterloo Region
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development

Qualifications

  • Registered (or eligible) with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Availability for some evenings and weekends
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric and neurodevelopmental practice
  • Comfort working independently in client homes and community settings

Compensation and Benefits

  • $90,000 – $110,000 annual salary, based on experience
  • Paid supervision and professional development opportunities
  • Travel reimbursement
  • Extended Health Benefits
  • Flexible scheduling and supportive team environment
  • Meaningful, relationship-based work that makes a difference in the lives of children and families

Schedule

  • This is a full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week), but it’s not your typical 9–5. We build schedules around the children and families we serve — that means some mornings or afternoons off, and a mix of daytime, evening, and weekend sessions. The goal is flexibility and sustainability for both our clients and our therapists.
  • Home and community-based sessions within the greater Waterloo Region
