Independent Contractor Occupational Therapy Position - Part-time or Full-Time

Pay: CA$65.00-CA$75.00 per hour

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team, specializing in motor vehicle accident rehabilitation. This role will have a primary focus on completing Catastrophic Assessments, with a more minor role in completing community-based rehabilitation and re-integration services.

Job Description:

• Independent contract position (Part-Time or Full-Time Opportunities)
• Focus on conducting Occupational Therapy Catastrophic Assessments (Ex. Criterion 8 and 4), as well as Medical Legal and Benefit Assessments under the SABs, and preparing detailed reports.
• Client-centred Occupational Therapy treatment (TBI, MSK, psychological impairments, and chronic pain) and collaboration with other rehabilitation professionals, insurers and law firms.
• Prepared to assess and treat clients both virtually and in their homes.

Work Location:

• Work from home and travel to client’s residences.
• Assessments completed throughout Southern Ontario: including London, Guleph/Kitchener, GTA, Peel, Halton and Niagara.
• Please note, you must be willing to travel to these areas to complete assessments. Travel time compensation is applied from your residence and mileage reimbursement is available for assessments.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered and in good standing with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in the MVA sector.
• Motor Vehicle Accident and Medical Legal experience.
• C-CAT Certification (Catastrophic Impairment Evaluation – Functional Observer).
• Strong communication skills, aptitude for report writing and attention-to-detail is a must.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
