Description of Opportunity

Shift Concussion Management's head clinical location in Guelph, ON is currently seeking a Part-time, Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team beginning in August, 2026.

Shift Concussion Management operates a busy multidisciplinary clinic at 1515 Gordon St in Guelph, ON specializing in the rehabilitation of concussion, vestibular disorders, and other neuromusculoskeletal conditions. We believe that concussion management requires a team approach – which in our case includes various health disciplines both on-site and within the community to ensure our patients receive the best possible care. In addition to the clinical practice, Shift Concussion Management also offers an array of education and training programs for healthcare providers on concussion evaluation and management both nationally and internationally.

Occupational Therapy is an important cornerstone in the effective management of patients with persistent post-concussion symptoms. If you’re interested in helping this patient population and have 2-3 days per week to spare for direct patient care, this job is for you!

The Position:

  • Part-Time, 2-3 days per week (schedule can be flexible!) - option to grow
  • Competitive fee split
  • In-office, direct patient consultation with virtual options (hybrid)
  • Private Pay, MVA clients
  • No weekend or holiday work required

Shift is looking for:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Compassionate, patient-centred approach with strong interpersonal and counselling skills
  • Interest in supporting individuals with persistent concussion symptoms, including cognitive difficulties, mood changes, fatigue, sleep disruption, and challenges with work, school, and daily function
  • Experience providing cognitive rehabilitation and/or cognitive support strategies is considered a strong asset
  • Training or experience in mental health interventions, counselling, CBT-informed approaches, mindfulness-based strategies, or other evidence-informed behavioural therapies is highly valued
  • Comfortable addressing mood dysregulation, anxiety, stress management, and adjustment-related challenges within the scope of occupational therapy practice
  • Passion for collaborative, interdisciplinary care and working closely with physiotherapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, athletic therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Interest in concussion rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, and evidence-informed practice
