Description of Opportunity

Tier 1 Assessments is a busy and growing assessments company providing Medical Assessments, rehabilitation services ,  in-home and virtual Occupational Therapy services across Ontario. We welcome Occupational Therapists from all regions of the province—your location is not a barrier.

As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a wide range of medical and rehabilitation specialists to ensure each patient receives the most comprehensive care possible. Our team includes Orthopaedic Surgeons, Neurologists, Physiatrists, Neuropsychologists, Psychologists, Case Managers, Psychological Associates, Psychotherapists, Psychometrists, Social Workers, Driving Rehabilitation Instructors, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, and Massage Therapists.

We serve a diverse population across all age groups, offer services in multiple languages, and provide flexible hybrid work models (in-person and virtual) to support both clinicians and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments in clients’ homes and through virtual platforms.
  • Educate patients about their injuries, expected recovery timelines, and recommend treatment strategies.
  • Practice in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario’s Standards of Practice and Guidelines.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in evaluating a wide range of conditions, including fractures, brain injuries, concussions, and soft tissue injuries.
  • Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive functioning to determine their therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans to support independence and daily living activities.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, exercises, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications.

Our therapists work with clients of all age groups and specialize in:

  • Post-Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) care
  • Slip and fall injuries
  • Neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Brain and spinal cord injuries
  • Amputations and chronic pain
  • Complex orthopedic and psychological impairments
  • Developmental disabilities
  • Return-to-work programs
  • Home and workplace safety assessments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
  • Experience is an asset but we also welcome new Graduate Licensed OTs
  • Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
  • Valid G Class driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
