The Alliance of Heroes is an interdisciplinary collaboration of professionals (from cognitive science, occupational therapy, social work, etc.) who engage through unique professional lenses to improve the social, psychological and emotional well-being of a diverse population of clients and communities, including people with autism, anxiety, social phobias, trauma, and developmental disability. We are avid and experienced tabletop role-playing gamers who have incorporated these games into practice with our clients to engage with and enhance their social competencies. We collaborate with independently-operated tabletop role-playing games (TRPG) clubs across the Greater Toronto Area to create opportunities for participants to foster meaningful interpersonal experiences.
