This is a series of online courses covering all aspects of shoulder screening, diagnosis and management. These courses are designed with the clinician in mind with an emphasis on clinical applicability supported by current, evidence-informed and best practice guidelines. Suitable for any new or recent graduate, or experienced clinician returning to the workforce, or those wanting to work in advanced practice fields.
By the end of the course you will be able to comprehensively screen a patient for red flag indicators of serious pathology or medical conditions, make an accurate diagnosis of important shoulder conditions using a combination of clinical examination, imaging and diagnostic injections, and be able to describe the management, including physiotherapy treatment principles for most common shoulder conditions.
The modules follow shoulder classification systems including the stiff shoulder, the unstable shoulder, rotator cuff related pain, and acromioclavicular joint pain. In each module we systematically work through differential diagnosis for specific conditions, examine the indications for diagnostic imaging, discuss surgical and non-surgical management treatment pathways and physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation principles.
The online courses provide a flexible, convenient, interactive learning environment using a range of written and audiovisual content supported by case studies and clinical reasoning exercises.
