The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA): Training and Certification

Background

The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) is a tool commonly used to assess cognitive impairment. Occupational Therapists are one of several professions permitted to administer and score the MoCA.

The creator has communicated that To ensure consistency and accuracy, training and certification to administer and score, the MoCA Test will become mandatory… After December 1st 2020, access to the test will be restricted to officially certified users."

As of December 1, 2020, you will need to be trained and certified to administer this assessment.

Training and Certification

The training and certification process will take you approximately 1 hour to complete. You will have access for 2 months from the date you sign up and are allowed 3 attempts to successfully complete the certification test. Should you be unsuccessful on your 3rd attempt, you will need to purchase another training and certification package. It is highly recommended to go through the full training program before attempting the test (even if you are an experienced user of the test).

Registration instructions and a unique access code will be provided to you by email when making your purchase. This code can not be transferred to another individual.
