OSOT Responds to Consultation on COTO Revised Standards for Practice

The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) sought stakeholder feedback on revisions to the Standards for Practice. 

The proposed Standards reflect emerging best practice: more simplified, principle-based, regulatory documents that have:  

• removed redundancies
• enhanced consistency
• used clearer language for the public 
• integrated the new Competencies for Occupational Therapists in Canada and culture, equity, and justice practice expectations.

OSOT provided feedback on the document overall and specifics for each Standard for Practice.
