MCCSS Releases New Guidance for Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program

On May 14, 2020, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services  released new guidance that summarizes key program information, including changes to service delivery, areas of flexibility, and additional resources available during the COVID-19 outbreak to support Ontario social support recipients and applicants.  View:

Implications for Occupational Therapists

Occupational therapists can be advisors to their clients who have financial needs that can be supported by Ontario social supports.  Further, occupational therapists may be involved in the medical review process of the ODSP application process, able to complete the Activities of Daily Living Index section of the application form.
