Assessing and Treating People Who Love To Make Music

Date and Time: May 14, 2025 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Eastern Time

Webinar Description:
Do you work with children or adults who play musical instruments? This webinar will present considerations for occupational therapy assessment and intervention for your musician clients. Content will be based on findings from a recent scoping review examining occupational therapy's scope of practice providing services for musicians as well as clinical experience and expert opinion from a music educator. Case studies will be used to help participants apply knowledge.

By the end of this webinar you will:

  • Understand the complexity of music making as an occupation in clients lives.
  • Identify considerations and task demands specific to instrumental musicians during the assessment process and when developing treatment plans.
  • Use case studies to apply evidence-based knowledge gained in the webinar to promote clients occupational performance.
