Report Writing That Stands Up in Court

Date and Time: November 5, 2025 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Eastern Time

Webinar Description:
Occupational therapy reports play a critical role in personal injury claims, influencing outcomes for both plaintiffs and insurers. In this webinar, personal injury lawyer Stanford Cummings will share practical insights into how OTs can strengthen their documentation, avoid common pitfalls, and prepare for the possibility of legal proceedings. Whether you're new to report writing or looking to refine your approach, this webinar will help you understand the legal lens through which your work is viewed, and how to make your reports more effective and defensible.

By the end of this webinar you will:

  • Understand the legal significance of occupational therapy reports in personal injury claims and how they influence outcomes.
  • Identify key do’s and don’ts in report writing to ensure clarity, accuracy, and legal defensibility.
  • Recognize considerations for Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) hearings and court appearances, including how reports may be used in testimony.
  • Compare perspectives from both plaintiff and insurer assessments to better anticipate how reports are interpreted.
  • Apply practical strategies to improve documentation and communication with legal professionals.
