Webinar Description:
The Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) is a provincial, charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of Ontarians living with the effects of acquired brain injury (ABI). Through education, awareness, and support, OBIA works to ensure that individuals with brain injuries and their families have access to the resources and services they need. This webinar will introduce you to OBIA’s wide range of programs and services, highlighting how these resources can support your clients in both clinical and community contexts.
You will gain an understanding of OBIA’s Return to Work programs, peer support initiatives, online training, and advocacy services. The webinar will also cover specialized supports such as helplines, educational workshops, and resource navigation, which are designed to address the diverse and often complex needs of ABI survivors. By the end of the webinar, you will have a clear overview of the supports available through OBIA, as well as practical insight into how these services can complement your clinical practice. The goal is to equip you with knowledge and tools to better connect clients with brain injuries to community-based resources that promote independence, improve quality of life, and foster meaningful participation in daily life.
By the end of this webinar you will:
- Learn about the programs and services offered by OBIA to support individuals living with acquired brain injury and their caregivers.
- Learn about additional professional development opportunities with OBIA.
- Understand program eligibility requirements and how to apply to various programming.
