Join Dr. Tanya Packer to learn about the Packer Managing Fatigue Program. With over 30 years of evidence of effectiveness, this occupational therapy intervention was initially developed to manage post-polio syndrome fatigue. It has since been proven effective across various populations, methods, and languages. Now available as online asynchronous training, including a one year license with access to supports and resources, the Packer Managing Fatigue Program can be used to support people who experience fatigue as a result of chronic conditions, such as Post-polio syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This one hour webinar will review the Packer Managing Fatigue Program, its development and underlying occupational therapy theories, and the evidence surrounding the program.
Learning objectives: Identify the purpose and utility of the Packer Managing Fatigue Program. Using the Packer Managing Fatigue Program as an example, recognize methods and approaches for integrating self-management and occupational therapy theory into practice. Examine the body of evidence relating to the Packer Managing Fatigue Program.
