Occupational Therapist- MSK Work Assist-Waterloo, ON (WSIB Speciality Program)

MSK Work Assist is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team of health practitioners. Work collaboratively with Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Orthopaedic Surgeons and Family Practitioners. The successful candidate will work in our WSIB Specialty Program to provide rehabilitation to injured workers suffering from physical and cognitive deficits. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessment of individuals with musculoskeletal, psychological and/or cognitive conditions
• Providing treatment services to injured workers with physical impairments, mental health and cognitive issues
• To work collaboratively with team members, clients and referral sources
• Performing Functional Capacity Evaluations, Cognitive Abilities Evaluations, POET's and Job Demands Analysis
• Developing work hardening and return to work programs

Qualifications:

• Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Occupational Rehabilitation experience in the assessment and treatment of injured workers
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) experience required
• Experience performing ergonomic assessments in the workplace
• Ability to prescribe and progress functional work hardening programs
• An outgoing personality with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients
