MCCSS to Pilot a New ODSP Mandatory Special Necessities (MSN) Form

As a direct result of OSOT’s advocacy, we are happy to announce that the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) will be launching a project to simplify the Ontario Disability Support Program’s (ODSP) Mandatory Special Necessities (MSN) form. The pilot project (from April to September 2024) will allow occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and physician assistants in Kingston and Sault Ste. Marie to complete and sign the redesigned form. Read the ministry's ODSP MSN Project Fact Sheet.

This initiative was brought forward to OSOT’s attention and raised during advocacy meetings with the MCCSS, Ministry of Health (MOH), and the Ontario Medical Association. View a full list of OSOT’s advocacy meetings.
